👹“Japanese Yōkai Monsters”👹
(Yōkai (妖怪) are a type of supernatural monsters and spirits in traditional Japanese folklore)
I decided on this theme for a couple of reasons: 1) I ❤️ all things weird/lore/legends/folktales & 2) The winter months always feel like a time for storytelling, & when it’s cold outside I loove being cozy indoors with a knit and a good story to fall into. ☕️📖🧶
Also, just because they’re based off of traditional Japanese monsters doesn’t mean that these colorways are gloomy! Yōkai come in all shapes & sizes, some are actually kinda cute, some are creepy, & some are just weird (tbh)! There will defs be all types of OOAK variegated colorways that I hope will get everyone excited to open a mini every day!
What's included in the yarn calendar? このヤーンカレンダーの中には何が入っていますか？
- The Full-Sized Calendar: Includes 24 (20g) mini skeins & 1 (100g) full skein for a 25 day opening experience! Each mini skein will include a little card that has an illustration & fun facts about the yōkai that its corresponding mini skein is based off of, so at the end of the calendar you’d have collected a little yōkai booklet that you can keep (along with all that yarn)! // フルサイズのカレンダーには24ミニーカセ（20g）と1フールカセ（100g）が含まれており、25日分の開封体験ができます。それぞれのミニーカセには、対応する妖怪のイラストと豆知識が書かれた小さなカードが含まれているので、カレンダーの終わりには、小さな妖怪の小冊子を集めてすることができます!

The word "bikkuri" means "to be surprised" in Japanese, so these are a fun surprise mystery mini skein set! These minis are extras from my 2021 Yokai Countdown Calendar, featuring colorways that were inspired by traditional Japanese monsters. This listing is for a 5-pc mystery mini skein set!
Please note - since these colorways are all mixed up, I'm unable to label each individual colorway/mini skein included in this set! I do have an IG story highlight if you're curious to see what all the colors are though!
All skeins are carefully dyed with acid dye, washed and rinsed, however some bleeding may still occur. Each skein is unique and therefore colors may vary slightly from one to the next. Due to differences between monitors and screens, actual colors may also vary from what is shown. I recommend handwashing in cool water. Listing is for one skein only!
