🏮Paper Lantern🏮 is something that you can see everywhere during a natsu matsuri (summer festival), and when strung together are very beautiful during a hot summer night. Paper lanterns are especially common during Obon, since they’re believed to guide ancestral spirits back home. I wanted to create a colorway that was more light than dark, and could portray the warm glow of a lantern during a dark night. This colorway would be so much fun to knit - the dark blue-black section will create short blips in the knitted fabric, which would be so pretty in socks or even a textured top.
All skeins are carefully dyed with acid dye, washed and rinsed, however some bleeding may still occur. Each skein is unique and therefore colors may vary slightly from one to the next. Due to differences between monitors and screens, actual colors may also vary from what is shown. I recommend handwashing in cool water. Listing is for one skein only!

Trusty Sock: Fingering weight / 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon / 400 meters,437 yards per 100g skein / 4-ply
Peruvian Fingering: Fingering weight / 100% Non-Superwash Peruvian Wool / 350 meters, 383 yards per 100g skein / 2-ply (PLEASE NOTE: This is a different base than the previous, 4-ply Peruvian base!)
Superwash Merino DK: DK weight / 100% Superwash Merino / 225 meters, 246 yards per 100g skein / 4-ply
Superwash Merino Worsted: Worsted weight / 100% Superwash Merino / 175 meters, 191 yards per 100g skein / 2-ply
